My late maternal grandmother, whom I called "Momma," pictured above long before she was my grandma, had the best doggone pound cake recipe I have ever tasted and she taught me to bake at 16.
I began teaching myself the art of cake decorating, making adorable cupcakes and selling them on the go as I ran errands and people kept asking me if I made teacakes. I did not! I didn't even LIKE TEACAKES because I had a really hard one when I was a child. I decided to experiment with some recipes, found one I liked and tweaked it to make it my own and the rest is history!
I am now fully focused on building my Teacake Queen brand of teacakes with 14 flavors and counting!
